Re: Airbus A220 Production / Deliveries - 2024

I have no inside information. However Jetblue contract delivery #1 in March was on 08Mar and #2 on 18Mar. So the fly-away, taken from info posted in this thread, of N3185J could not refer to the second contract delivery as it was on an earlier date. #55268 was flown away 6 days after contract deliv...

Please stop calling it an elevator. its a stabiliser, with attached elevator. To be fair, based on the photos it was indeed the elevator that made contact with the jetbridge and ripped off the attached stab with it. Separately, anyone else find it interesting the ACAA asked where else United should fly to on their FB page? Not the typical kind of post from them. This is a non-trivial amount of weight added to the flight. With all the scrutiny from the FAA United are under I wonder how this will be treated from a regulatory point of view. It doesn’t add any weight actually. Bags in overhead bins are already accounted for in the standard passenger weights. W...

Anecdotal…

The 190E1 burns about 4,000lbs/hr, the 195E1 burns about 4200lbs/hr and the A223 burns about 4500-4800lbs/hr.

So if Embraer’s figures for fuel reduction between the E1 and E2 are accurate, it’s completely feasible for the 195E2 to beat the A223 in CASM.
