Actually, the "stuff" being dug out of the tunnel is actually being placed in the lake at the runway end...but not to create new landfill, but to provide a shallow "safety zone" so that boats don't come too close to the runway end... Read into this what you will, but remember that everything in term...

RE: Ukraine Intl Getting 777-200s

AI wasn't holding out for a premium. No one wanted them because of the cost of getting them back in flying condition. The record keeping (or lack there of) especially for such new airplanes was in such a bad condition that you essentially had to go over every part. UIA has their work cut out for the...

Unless there is a lease agreement with someone, I have not seen any new orders come up on the boeing site. Nor has there been an "official" press release on UIA's website regarding the 777's so I don't think it is so firm. As I mentioned, likely all on hold if they are in fact merging <acronym title...

I'm pretty sure UIA will wait out to see what the Aerosvit family does before deciding on 777's or 330's. If Kolomoijski's airlines tank then it will be a no-brainer and they will need to move quick to get some widebody lift. I'm curious who the cyprus company actually belongs to...first step in a p...

FLYYUL you are assuming that WS is still an LCC, I'd argue that they left their original/LCC model long ago. If they go with 67's or 87's it wont be in the context of operating as a LCC.
