Amazon recently started to charge sales tax in both Nebraska and Iowa as of the 1st of the year. I wonder if they are going to build something in Council Bluffs (Iowa Side) and then use the Omaha airport (Nebraska Side).

Re: Ontario Airport as a major secondary airport to LAX

I would think maybe Spirit could have large hub in ONT and be successful. The only way to get people to drive to ONT from most of the LA basin is offer something the others don't and do it on a scale where everybody knows about it. If a ULCC had like 250+ daily flights from ONT, everybody would know...

Nooooo!!!!!! I was going to try and get on one in March of 2018 for the last time!! Super sad. In April of this year, I need to go to Madrid from Des Moines. Does anybody know what routes 747 are flying to Europe from EWR, IAD or ORD that I could use to connect to Madrid? I tried to fly a 747 a year...

Re: United flight diverted following a ‘racist rant’ and abuse by passenger

Looking at Flightaware and the route, instead of turning back for 3 hours to AKL, they were probably only 4 hours from HNL. Why didn't the pilot just divert to there and then all the crew wouldn't have exceed crew rest requirements and passengers could have gotten home with a shorter delay. Seems li...

Re: UA postpones 737-700 deliveries

I'm very sad about this. The 737-700 is a perfect size aircraft for many markets where the 737-800 is too big and the E175 is too small. For example, I'm very familiar with Omaha. OMA to DEN and ORD used to be 100% mainline 5 years ago plus. Then United put 50-70 seats on these routes and the cost o...

I think this means cities like RST and LSE will be connected to ORD. For work, I fly from DSM to Green Bay, ATW, MSN, up and back same day, never spend the night. Question is, why doesn't southwest do more of this? For example, Oregon is playing at Nebraska and 100% of all Southwest flights leaving Omaha on Sunday Sept 18th are sold out.
