Just about 20 years.
I'm not posting anymore, just browse if I'm really bored. The moderation team and Vertiscope have killed any sense of community left in this site with their constant rules and engagement towards members. It was fun while it lasted.
Not sure why that is addressed to me. That certainly has not been the case on this thread. It was addressed to you. Why can't EV owners accept that EVs aren't where they need to be for the masses. Why always on the defensive instead of acknowledging their flaws and that there needs to be improvemen...
Jump to postThey could be hanging on to them a bit longer right now seeing the chaos with new car inventory has been over the last couple of years.
Jump to postA couple things. First, this is AMA. AMA stands for "ask me anything." Do you have a question you'd like to ask me? I do have a question. Why do EV owners always have to be so defensive when real world issues and problems involving EVs are brought up and try to sweep it under the rug. One...

Jump to postMy bad, it is not new. Here's an example of what I have an issue with. On Friday, at the hight of the arctic outflow we just had where I live - the media and meteorologists made big stories about temperature records being broken. But what they don't tell you (until you really read the articles) is ...

Jump to postI stay away from fast food as much as possible. The ironic thing is that fast food is hardly fast anymore these days - nor is it cheap. Jump to postI'll be doing that this year, gonna book a flight from Vancouver Harbour to Victoria Harbour and back just to experience a floatplane. However, living in Metro Vancouver, its not that big of an ordeal to get there lol.
Jump to postI love Paris, it's just got something about it that makes it special.
Amsterdam is awesome as well - spent many, many, many, many, many weekends there.
Rome, Barcelona, Athens, Istanbul - yeah they're all touristy, but they're still places one should visit at least once in their lives.
The only value they provided for me was priority boarding.
Jump to postLast minute travel kiosks at airports in Germany. They had some killer deals.
For the very adventurous, you'd show up to the airport, luggage in tow, hit the travel market, pick something and fly out the same day.
The location of LAS really adds to the Vegas experience of getting off the airplane and being at the casino within 20 minutes. It makes everyone feel like a celebrity. Absolutely. Even if you're staying up on Fremont and the traffic is really snarled up, you'd be from plane, taxi, checked-in, fresh...
Jump to postYou can get lots of cheap flights into LAS so why would anyone actually visiting (or those living in) Vegas want to fly into an airport and then drive another hour?
LAS is probably one of the best located airports I can think of, especially if you're staying at a resort south of Flamingo Road.
My mom was like that. She'd be around the house - cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, etc. We'd ask her if company was coming and she'd say "No, the house cleaner is coming later".

Jump to postWhy? What would be the point?
The walkways make sense, gives people a chance to look directly down and gives them a thrill. But a vehicular bridge? Just build a bridge using steel grating like they used to if you want that effect - probably a lot cheaper and more durable.

Just to add on the topic of processed foods. Don't get me wrong, I have my weaknesses. Definitely won't say no to a bag of Jalapeño Cheddar Doritos, Strawberry Twizzlers or Kraft Dinner and fun breakfast cereals
Jump to postIt really can be hard to avoid processed food sometimes, especially when time is a factor. Jump to postYeah Canada has suffered from extreme fires and warmth never seen. 2023 is an example of what Canada will face more of in the future. Jump to postWell, looks like lots of parts of Canada is finally getting a blast of winter over the next week. Was enjoying the warm weather so far and now this thread jinxed that

Its just unfortunate we have social media with all their doomsday prophets preaching their rhetoric.
Balanced and moderate is the key to a healthy diet - keep it simple and stay away from fad diets - they never work out long term. I try to be as "healthy" as possible, so no processed foods, very balanced diet, 2-3x meat, 1-2x fish a week. Loads of vegetables and fruits. Many nuts. We do n...
Jump to postThis is a bit a strange argument, as the goods you buy are transported by the truck so yes they get a bit more expensive but you also buy them. Good on Kuniskis and it's a good thing they had some allocations set aside. Jump to postNot a biggie - but JHL was fogged in on one of my work rotations, so we did a quick diversion to YMM. Didn't really change anything, they just sent the buses from JHL to YMM and then went to site.

Jump to postThe threat alone is usually enough. The dealers need the OEM more than the OEM needs the dealers.
