Didn't say service was different. .. I'm talking passengers... the flight crew wasn't all that great on this flight either though. Its terrible. ..I was upgraded last month from ORD to DFW... my wife's ticket was in the basic economy for $40. I let her take my first class seat and I took hers...absolutely miserable. It was like 3 different flights on that 739... with me being in the Spirit section. Experience was pretty low brow.

Delta and AA seem to be stagnant in Houston. Spirit and Frontier seem utilize the 321 regularly here though.

While DEN-HNL is the longest I've seen for the 753.... both DL and CO/UA have operated the type to Hawaii.

Excellent add! Especially in the face of the 'gentlemen' in the Houston Harvey diaster thread that said the city would no longer be economically viable after the storm! What affect would this have on NZ? I flew it last summer and the flight was full.

Hmm...im over on the west side right now at bw8 and beechnut....its all clear. Granted...west houston still has water in places, but traffic is moving fine where I am. Your employee may not be so motivated to get to work lol

I read that Houston built a lot of highways and other municipal infrastructure "to flood" in that they know they live in a hot and humid thunderstorm hurricane prone area so if they build it a certain way, the damage is less than would be elsewhere. At least that is why it bounced back re...

How many aircraft are actually on the ground that could have been inundated with water? I suspect that United could have more problems as IAH is closer to the coast than HOU. No. HOU is closer. I flew them, one of which was N152SY, on IAH-LAS-IAH in April of 1996 - it was SY9/10 and it was 3-4-3 380 passengers. They served a sandwhich - no IFE though. I remember departure from LAS with only slats and no flaps (0 degree).

@MIflyer12 - I'm not sure they would serve the Houston market at all. All I can say to that question is right now there is no gate space at IAH during the typical Euro rush.
The UA 767 parked on the tarmac and passengers were bussed using ParkingSpot shuttles.

Random question. What would the feasibility of say.. Norwegian flying a 787 from Houston Hobby to Europe be? HOU can handle widebodies - but would it be possibility to get a 787 off 7800ft with a meaningful payload to make Europe?

Hate I missed that on approach - I live in the Med Center/NRG area under the 12R approach pattern. The plane took off at 9:01p for IAH and landed at 9:15p

My wife and I took Skycouch from AKL to IAH. I loved it...but I think I hogged up all the space from her...so she might have something else to say. I think IIRC I paid like an extra $400 or so.

As far as I know... The agreement with COPA was related to PMCO hubs. Hence why no IAH or EWR. Nothing stopping them from flying to HOU though.
