I once landed at MIA in a 738 with American Airlines, I was seated in the last row the landing felt like a crash, its the only time I have heard a Flight attendant gasp. Then both of them laughed and commented on the "landing".

The wing is simply the biggest limitation for this airplane. When it was designed, the A320 weighed 155,000lbs. 58,000lbs less than the 213k of today. Correct, as I have read Airbus is trying to bring down empty weight , and simplifying the wing using variable angle flaps and multi position Slats.....

I just want to stop seeing that the pilot could have done differently and saved the doomed flights. Please KNOW that the crews were not familiar and possibly not trained to handle a MCAS malfunction... and also in a dire situation, so please stop that and lets focus on the actual grounding of the MA...

I flew on Jan 1 1994 and returned Jan15 1994 on MH on a Spanking new 747-400 they flew the MEX LAX segment from November 1993 to late 1995, and they took it because Mexicana Aeromexico and United torpedoed the 5 freedom rights..

On my flight MEX - NRT it was 15 hours of darkness, but the crew elected to dimm the windows all the way, so I could not see the stars or the aurora over Alaska... it was a moonless flight.... hate the windows on the 787.... and then on the descent they put them in normal, and the landing lights rea...

As much as I loved the A310 (used to fly Pan Am MEX-JFK back in the 80´s) and Aerounion has 3 converted to freighters, there is no way to bringing it back in a economically viable way, hence Boeing has shelved the 797 and Airbus is making the A321 like tortillas. Why would they focus on a new narrowbody when the 737 is sold out for 6+ years with around 5000MAX commitments/orders? I think that Boeing should focus on making a next generation single aisle aircraft in a modular fashion so it can use the 100 to 200 pax capacity and wings to accommodate such TOW and capacity. To me IAG should have already bought or leased as much A380 as they can...but the logistics and fear of expenditures, have made them very cautious. Now we see Hifly get a very good deal and they will surely keep those frames ...

MEX is at 2400 meter ASL and yesterday it was 30 celsius ....I used the calculator for altitude....3466 M ASL holy cow and me in a 21K race... Aeromexico had lot of trouble in the northern desert states with Embraers (the small ones) Even Mexicana Back in the day had issues with 722 ADV due to weigh...

When I see the MEX-CUN-MEX airways on Flight radar I want to puke, it looks like a highway, all flown with SA aircraft, and tons of cities in North America are the same for the sake of "frequency", why the government gives you incentives for using a darn electric car, but can't in the case...
