I realize that I might be the only participant of this thread whose flown almost every Boeing (707 (KC-135), 727, 737, 757, 767 and 777) They sure know how to make a good airplane. It's very sad to see what's become of Boeing in recent years. You are missing the 720 ( I flew from SFO to LAX on West...

Considering that tickets are very cheap and taxes and airport fees are ridiculous, I think is just another stupid occurrence of this government (specially if we have a Category 2 rating)
This goverment is a joke.

I once landed at MIA in a 738 with American Airlines, I was seated in the last row the landing felt like a crash, its the only time I have heard a Flight attendant gasp. Then both of them laughed and commented on the "landing".
Hope the FA has a speedy recovery.

Jump to postMEX is simply put an embarrassment to Mexicans, the New airport was cancelled and PAID in full with the new government, so we ended with a old, outdated and undersized airport, with low ceilings and dismal services. Jump to postI wonder what will AF fly to Mexico MMMX to cover the lost seats on the big A380. The wing is simply the biggest limitation for this airplane. When it was designed, the A320 weighed 155,000lbs. 58,000lbs less than the 213k of today. Correct, as I have read Airbus is trying to bring down empty weight , and simplifying the wing using variable angle flaps and multi position Slats.....

As much as I loved the A310 (used to fly Pan Am MEX-JFK back in the 80´s) and Aerounion has 3 converted to freighters, there is no way to bringing it back in a economically viable way, hence Boeing has shelved the 797 and Airbus is making the A321 like tortillas.
