This doesn’t add up. Did they fly 3+ hrs from IVL with gear down ? Also I don’t think there is a pushback at IVL. The planes usually ”swing” in front of the terminal, there are no jet bridges there.

One FlyDubai flight on the way to Helsinki. Most likely won't be allowed into Finnish airspace so might end up in Saint Petersburg. It looks like that it will land in Helsinki (and probably fly empty back). Any other option would be a logistical nightmare (because of Visa requirements in Russia etc...

AY growth in Asia is limited by the fact that they really only have one connection bank at HEL, the afternoon (1500-1700) window. Yes, they do have "one way banks" in the morning and late night, but those banks cannot be used efficiently for 24hr rotation which is the basis for AY strategy...
