Re: American Airlines Fleet - 2024

The difference is AA has 20 F vs 16 F on the AS version, so seat pitch is in fact greater in both F and Y on the AS version. >>> “American squeezes more seats into the plane” <<< I don’t know how I can make it any more clear… It’s a different plane - I don’t know how I can make this any more clear....

Re: American Airlines Network - 2024

AA's standard seat pitch in economy is 31"-32", while DL's is 31" and UA's is 30". WN's is 31"-33", depending on aircraft. Virtually the only difference in hard product between AA and DL/UA is the lack of PTVs on narrowbodies, which is something that the average econom...

Re: Rumor: Reuters - DL to order A350-1000

Well the 787 in 3-3-3 would make for a narrower economy cabin than the rest of the DL wide body fleet (18 inches). They did keep the 777 in a less dense configuration as well, so it wouldn't be unprecedented. But that's the least of the reasons why DL likely won't go for the 787. Deltas A350 is 17....

This isn't complicated. Delta is paying for more gates because it wants to be able to gate more flights on larger banks in the future. The key to remember here is that Delta signed a long-term lease for additional gates...which is the entire reason they are going to be built so soon and not a decad...

It seems some time ago Delta made a big deal about having 18”+ wide seats in their wide body fleet, even keeping the 777s in 3-3-3 instead of 3-4-3 like AA and UA. Their current wide body fleet all have at least 18” wide seats in coach. I wonder if this is still the case and maybe a mark against the...

Nearly all the growth above GDP in the domestic US industry in the past 15 years has been amongst L/ULCC. The US3 have been basically stagnant. 131 in total, deliveries 2027/28. Good mainline growth and a further vote of confidence in the A220 program. If orders for the A220 were to stop tomorrow, DL would be responsible for roughly 16% of A220 orders, Skyteam in total (AF, KE, DL; ) would count for 1/4 of worldwide A220s! I love the A220,...
