One thing you should keep in mind.

KEEP YOURS HANDS AWAY FROM FLATBED SCANNERS if you intend to scan slides. It´s a waste of money and you will be very very disappointed !!!!!

Go for (example) a Hewlett Packard HP20 or even better (and more expensive) a Nikon Coolscan IV.
