I haven't experienced this in quite a while, but I remember back in the 1980's, it seemed fairly common on international flights. I always assumed it was because a good number of passengers on that flight were glad to be back home after . . . a week, two weeks, .. . . .

Yes, news reporting that one parachutist died. Reported also that "one of them" clipped an apartment building; and that "one of them" (they referring to the same "one"?) broke his leg. A tragedy. Also horrible of those who witnessed.

I've not flown out of that very-misplaced "Mid American Airport" in southwestern Illinois (has anyone?), but it's an interesting place to visit--once. I believe they share a runway with Scott AFB, so used to be some interesting traffic once in a while.

My question still pending about F/O donning oxygen mask. Was or is there not a reg that requires that when one pilot leaves the cockpit above a certain FL (180?)
