Sorry didn't explain very well. The skin on the actual gear bay doors looks rippled, if you enlarge the first picture. The rest of the aircraft skin looks smooth except the main gear doors.

Sorry, A bit off topic but looking at the two aft main gear bay doors and the forward left main gear door, looks almost like contact with air bubbles under it. Does anyone know what this is?

A little off topic but another thing I have noticed is a significant percentage of pilots, about 85% of pilots I know and other people that know pilots who have also told me, is the is the interest in boating. Mostly sail, but also speed boats. Just somthing I found interesting.

I forgot to mention I have tried using my scanner whilst on the ground on an airliner, and was unable to pick up anything other than our own aircrafts transmissions.

I do the same as Liamksa said, in GA those taxi lights can be a bit bigger than half a baseball which not only is uncomfortable to taxi over especially in a light a/c but also isnt great for the nose gear.

I think also using higher flap configurations on landing reduces the load on the gear which in turn reduces the wheel braking effectiveness. Im sure however this can be counteracted with the spoilers reducing lift.

I currently only fly light a/c but probably the one thing I fear most is an in-flight electrical fire without and extinguisher, followed by an midair collision and prop separation tearing the engine from its mountings. Lets hope these never happen.

I am just getting up to my GFPT and have flown always in the C152 although I will be starting with the 172 shortly on NAV flights. If your not too bulky the 152 is fine for flights up to about 1.5 hours, after that they get a little bit cramped and uncomfortable, especially with a large instructor. ...
