I'll ask the airport director.. he's been here since they filled in the salt ponds! In regards to the new terminal, we can't wait... you guys have NO IDEA how crowded it gets inside, especially in the summer. Continental will have 30 people in line for 4 positions, USAir will have 20, and Delta has ...
Jump to postOh, we also get the Orlando Magic 737-300 in here quite a bit. She tends to park out on the SIDA at spot #12 .. which sucks when we need that space in the winter!
Jump to postBeing my "home" airport :P 1. We have 11 positions on the ramp. All are for aircraft with a wingspan of 102 feet or less, leaving only 4 feet of space between each. 2. Jump to postthe 9 Nov update should be hitting the schedules soon. There will be a few more US departures this year than next, and some of the routes will be coming back for the winter.

The CRJs are going to United.
The ERJs are coming from USX ops.

In regards to the pilots not knowing how much distance they have, most airports are REQUIRED to have distance markers off to the side of the runway. They say "1" "2" "3" etc meaning there is only 1,000 feet remaining, 2000 feet remaining, etc...

Jump to postI am a Supervisor for a "legacy carrier's" regional Airline (owned by the main airline).
