It makes sense. If a pilot knows the airline is going down it makes sense to him to leave now, before better pilots are available later. The likelihood of him being hired is less if he is in competition with more experience pilots.

If a controller really needs to tell the pilot off you won't hear it on frequency. Odds are you'll hear the controller invite the offending pilot for a "tour" of the cab.

You don't necessarily need a Bachelor's Degree. There are three 2 year schools in the College Training Initiative Program. They are significantly cheaper and since you spend less time in the program you are eligible for hire sooner.

I think it looks better on the 717 than it does on the 737. My only problem is the engines are in blue as opposed to green. I like the hint of blue but with the green tail the engines would look better in green IMHO.
