N47505 hopped HOUSKF today. Last three of the six are now in WiFi.. All deliveries after this will have WiFi installed on FAL.( Which is MUCH faster/easier I presume)

Widobody comms panels are on the nose gear. This is the only airplane I can think of that requires a ladder to disconnect the headset. 757 is also on the back of the nose gear. Two aircraft are flying: N67501 is IAH MCO IAH FLL IAH SAN, N27503 IAH AUS IAH ANC. I believe this will remain the routings until 7502,4-6 come on line in the next few weeks. After that, four more will deliver later this year.

I know that the PED information is not sent from towers/satellites, but rather stored on a hard drive on the plane, but does the internet that is transmitted to the plane use the same Wi-Fi as the PED to transmit to Laptops/Cell phones? That's ridiculous. In the big scheme of things, they are minimal cost. Moreover, they support (or tarnish) the brand image. Ah, UA is doing much the same thing... Age is measured in total flight hours and cycles, not in calendar time.
Properly cared for, aircraft will last much longer than you seem to think.

7503 looks to be headed to SKF today. I would imagine most of that time could be attributed to familiarization/training of tech personnel on the new type. They would’ve flown people in from other stations for this purpose.

A 738 that had arrived earlier as UA1022 PTYEWR, was being moved off the gate (empty) and the winglet came in contact with the OS craft’s horizontal stabilizer. Obviously the UA ramp crew moving the 738 has some major explaining to do.. :banghead: The UA was N35236

Since it’s quite likely UA will order additional 787s as part of the 767 replacement (not a sure thing...but) anyone know just how many 78s UA has on option? Also I presume there is a guaranteed delivery time frame should these options be confirmed?
