Think it could be a good idea to have the lowest speed recorded in cruise as well! Imagine going against the jetstream of 200 knots. Would give your GS to be just around 280!

When it has to come down to a technical stop more money must be spent to pay for the landing fees, additional fuel and for some of the stuff that was offloaded at the origin. Does all this have a big impact on their earnings on this particular flight?

The reversers can only be deployed when the main gears touches the ground completely. I think in the cases of bounces due to hard landings there just isn't ample time to engage the reversers before the air goes up into the air again.

Yes the number of B744s with SIA are on a decline. Many have gone to park and a few to airlines like Cathay Pacific, Iberia, Air Pacific.. etc. Many of the flights flown by B744s are being replaced by the B777s.
