Think it could be a good idea to have the lowest speed recorded in cruise as well! Imagine going against the jetstream of 200 knots. Would give your GS to be just around 280!

Say if you accelerate to 340KIAS above 5000ft after taking off at MTOW how's the vertical climb rate like? I would imagine that it's going to be pretty low?

When it has to come down to a technical stop more money must be spent to pay for the landing fees, additional fuel and for some of the stuff that was offloaded at the origin. Does all this have a big impact on their earnings on this particular flight?

The reversers can only be deployed when the main gears touches the ground completely. I think in the cases of bounces due to hard landings there just isn't ample time to engage the reversers before the air goes up into the air again.

A visit after flight is still highly possible. I've managed to get into cockpits for a peek on 90% of my flights after 9/11. Explain to them that you're very interested in aircraft and I think the rest is up to the captain.

A bit about the circulation part, does it mean to say that when the airfoil is flying through air there is a clockwise rotation of the air around airfoil, which means to say air below the airfoil is actually moving towards the leading edge? Just one more question guys... what about the flaps? I know the purpose for the flaps but in what principle does it provide the extra lift? The same reasoning by diverting air downwards from the overwing as it is as the normal wing or is it mainly due to the deflection of the air underwing downwards...

I've come across situations where an aircraft requested to climb at 210 knots and when asked for reason the pilot said due to weather and bad turbulence. I suppose they would want to climb above the thunderstorm as soon as possible!

The recent explosion of a fuel depot in London is limiting the amount of fuel being channelled to Heathrow. Normally no stop is needed but SQ 319 is the only SQ flight being affected by the fuel shortage.

Yes the number of B744s with SIA are on a decline. Many have gone to park and a few to airlines like Cathay Pacific, Iberia, Air Pacific.. etc. Many of the flights flown by B744s are being replaced by the B777s.
