What many are failing to realize about service on short flights is the type of aircraft. Delta FA’s did full beverage service on flights above 250 miles up until a few years ago…. But remember, the majority of those flights were on MD88 or 73G or pre-mod 757. Now, the majority of these flights are o...

DL just recently announced plans of a complete refurb of the A319/A320 fleet as well as the 757 fleet. Timing sounds right to be DL for both types. Each aircraft is receiving an increase in capacity so extra bin space is a must.
Jump to postPretty sure it's DL. It was around that number the company stated would be upgraded with new interiors and IFE.
Jump to postIndeed certain Latin American markets out of ATL have a hot meal/snack in coach.
Jump to postI think we should hold off on the speculations of the new configuration until an official announcement is made. It could go either way. If Delta wants this aircraft as a Latin American/Carribean/Transcon bird, I honestly don't see how we could provide hot meals in both cabins with only a small galle...

I think this is wonderful! Who care's how old the bird is. TechOps does such a wonderful job... so many 757's in our fleet that look like brand new aircraft from a cabin perspective.
Jump to postI've been asking all of my pilots during my trips and the majority are voting YES.
Jump to postOr possibly this means Delta will NOT be taking the 717's so Southwest is stuck with them and doesn't want the additional capacity of more 737-800's. Hmmmmm..... I hope that's the case.
