K100D is a great body, and dirt cheap right now too (less than $400 after rebate). Same goes for the K10D. However, if you're doing aviation photography, it's better to stick with Canikon, if only because of the selection and availability of lenses. I'm a Canon guy, but I bought a K100D to play with...

It's all an issue of terminology anyways... domestic USA "first" class is about the same as intra-European type business class product-wise, though some Euro business class looks more like Economy+, at least seatwise, don't know about the service.

I think it's called back-to-back ticketing, and yes, they do look out for this stuff. I would only do this if the inside round trip was on another airline (e.g. Continental or NW, where you could still get miles).
