Apart from the river cruises, all they have are Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony which are getting quite old. Will they ever come up with a new ship? Seven Seas Regent, Silverseas they all have new ships.

How often is it done? Every 5 years? How expensive are they? Many airlines simply don't want to do D-checks and retire planes. Such as the B747s.

Why did UA choose the B777-300ER and ditch the A350-1000? They could have kept the B747-400s for a few more years and replace them with the A350-1000 which is more advanced.

Perhaps the B777-300ER is bigger? Then why not go for the B777-9?

It was cut about a month before 9.11.

From what I heard due to union+ETOPS issues back then staff were unwilling to fly a twin engine aircraft via north pole. They wanted to use the B777-200ER but was forced to use the B747-400 with restricted payload and thus this route became unprofitable.

The yields stink to HKG and really all of China which is why CX is losing money and also why DL has entered into a JV with KE. DL does not need to fly to every major Asian city. They have tried HKG from DTW, MSP, and SEA. They all lost money. I think DL will continue to funnel pax into ICN and let ...

Delta Airlines will soon discontinue SEA-HKG-SEA. Pretty sad as I think DL is a very good airline with great products, food, drinks, service etc.

Will they ever fly to HKG again? Maybe from ATL or JFK or LAX?

How come Osaka gets the A380? Are there mostly for business passengers or wealthy holidaymakers? Neither. It's mostly a tourist route, both directions (Tons of Thais visiting Japan, and of course, Japanese do vacation in Thailand). Not sure how full the flight usually is, but that route has been A3...

Hong Kong is the world's third largest business and financial centre. It is very international. Paris is like the number 1 hub of fashion, business, wine, great food. shopping etc. I am sure both cities work together closely.

Indeed it is the HK$ 2040 all inclusive fare. But for the same price KE gives you 70% air points while OZ does not give you anything.

I am quite disappointed that OZ always change its equipment. When I booked HKG-ICN-HKG back in June it showed that it was going to be a B747-400. Now it shows that it will be a B777-200ER (it happened before when I did ICN-LAX back in 2008). They don't even give you air points at all while KE gives ...

Delta will soon suspend its HKG-SEA-HKG flight which is very sad. The service, food, drinks etc were excellent. The flights were very full too.

Will they return to HKG? From ATL? JFK? LAX? Detroit? Minneapolis?
