Apart from the river cruises, all they have are Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony which are getting quite old. Will they ever come up with a new ship? Seven Seas Regent, Silverseas they all have new ships.
Jump to postHow often is it done? Every 5 years? How expensive are they? Many airlines simply don't want to do D-checks and retire planes. Such as the B747s.
Jump to postPrior to 9.11 it was the most profitable restaurant in New York city. They planned to reopen it at the new WTC but they didn't. Why? Will they ever come back?
Jump to postWill they get a few more B777-300ERs?
I remember they once ordered 5 B747-400s and they cancelled the order since they failed to reach an alliance with AF. VS took them
The B777-300ER is bigger right?
Jump to postThey used to fly to Hong Kong but not anymore. Any plans to return?
Jump to postThey only have one. Why is that? Will they get rid of it or get a few more? Where do they fly it to?
Jump to postWho? Jack Creighton? Stephen Wolf? Gerald Greenwald? The current chairman and the current CEO are not bad too.
Definitely not James Goodwin or Jeff Smisek.
The A350-1000 is a lot more advanced right?
Jump to postWhy did they go for the A350-1000 at first?
They have been converted to the A350-900
Why did UA choose the B777-300ER and ditch the A350-1000? They could have kept the B747-400s for a few more years and replace them with the A350-1000 which is more advanced.
Perhaps the B777-300ER is bigger? Then why not go for the B777-9?

Newark – Hong Kong eff 30MAR19 777-300ER replaces -200ER, 1 daily
Got it. They will replace the B777-200ER with the B777-300ER on 30th March 2019
Thanks for your answer anyway.
So you mean they are going B777-300ER on this flight soon?
Jump to postIs UA flying the B777-300ER on the HKG-EWR-HKG run? Since when?
Jump to postOf course I know ORD is famous for good food etc.
But a lot of people around me do mention about this feature. Also it is on youtube. That's why I am curious
ORD is famous for its automatic toilet seat cover changers which I used to play with them when I was young. It was very advanced back then. Still available?
Jump to postWhat about Zonta and Toastmasters?
Jump to postI am surprised to hear this since many Rotarians/Lions are very proud of themselves and we still look highly of them. And many super rich/successful people are members. What planet is that on? In many places at least Hong Kong many top shots are members not to be mention governors/directors etc. Pe...

Jump to postLions is bigger with more members. Rotary has a slightly longer history.
Jump to postI run my own businesses. Which one shall I join?
Which one is more prestigious/better?
It was cut about a month before 9.11.
From what I heard due to union+ETOPS issues back then staff were unwilling to fly a twin engine aircraft via north pole. They wanted to use the B777-200ER but was forced to use the B747-400 with restricted payload and thus this route became unprofitable.
I know there will be an election coming in Taiwan in November 2018. Also the presidential election in 2020.
Which party is more likely to win? Will Tsai be re-elected as the president?
I believe Tsai/DPP will get re-elected.
Oh yes. Plenty of Hong Kong people in Vancouver and Toronto
Jump to postAt that time it was still signal number 8 about to turn 9.
Jump to postLast year KLM landed the B747-400 during signal number 10.
Any landing today?
If Hong Kong can sustain multiple daily flights between Hong Kong and Vancouver why can't Singapore go daily?
Jump to postI don't think they should cut HKG completely. They did HKG-NRT-HKG for many years though. Why not try HKG-ICN-HKG?
Jump to postThe yields stink to HKG and really all of China which is why CX is losing money and also why DL has entered into a JV with KE. DL does not need to fly to every major Asian city. They have tried HKG from DTW, MSP, and SEA. They all lost money. I think DL will continue to funnel pax into ICN and let ...
Jump to postDelta Airlines will soon discontinue SEA-HKG-SEA. Pretty sad as I think DL is a very good airline with great products, food, drinks, service etc.
Will they ever fly to HKG again? Maybe from ATL or JFK or LAX?
I will be in Seoul, South Korea next week.
Any interesting places for me to visit? Tourist spots? Any country area?
Also please give me the names of the good Korean restaurants especially Korean BBQ.
Please. Thanks
3 A380s=very odd. Hope they get a few more.
The biggest problem would be that 380 can’t operate in HND.
.
Why?
They should order another 3-8 A380s and fly them to HKG, LAX, JFK, LHR etc.
Jump to postHow come Osaka gets the A380? Are there mostly for business passengers or wealthy holidaymakers? Neither. It's mostly a tourist route, both directions (Tons of Thais visiting Japan, and of course, Japanese do vacation in Thailand). Not sure how full the flight usually is, but that route has been A3...
Jump to postMaybe a few more A380s and the B777-9?
Jump to postitisi wrote:LH fly the A346 to HKG, why doesn't VS??
NH are getting the A380, why not JL?
Different airlines different thinking. Can't all be the same.
Hong Kong is the world's third largest business and financial centre. It is very international. Paris is like the number 1 hub of fashion, business, wine, great food. shopping etc. I am sure both cities work together closely.
Jump to postThey used to but not anymore. LH, BA do. Why? Isn't HKG-CDG-HKG very busy?
Jump to postOh they fly the A380 to HKG too?
What do they normally fly in September? I mean for the red eye flight
Any good Korean BBQ restaurants? Also Korean restaurants?
Thanks everyone!
Indeed it is the HK$ 2040 all inclusive fare. But for the same price KE gives you 70% air points while OZ does not give you anything.
Jump to postI am quite disappointed that OZ always change its equipment. When I booked HKG-ICN-HKG back in June it showed that it was going to be a B747-400. Now it shows that it will be a B777-200ER (it happened before when I did ICN-LAX back in 2008). They don't even give you air points at all while KE gives ...
Jump to postCan anyone please advise what to do in Seoul, South Korea in 5 days and 4 nights? Also places to visit and where to have good food? Korean BBQ?
I haven't been to South Korea for a few years.
Thanks!
I think when it comes to A380 replacement they will order new A380s. The A380 serves QF very well on its A380 routes
It was the analyst not the CEO who said that the B777-9 can replace the A380
Will CX go daily?
Ziyulu wrote:I don't know; Delta's 777 service was better.
I think they suite Skyteam more but at the end they joined One World. Why is that?
Jump to postDelta will soon suspend its HKG-SEA-HKG flight which is very sad. The service, food, drinks etc were excellent. The flights were very full too.
Will they return to HKG? From ATL? JFK? LAX? Detroit? Minneapolis?
Would much rather see UA do LAX-TPE-SIN or LAX-HKG-SIN if they can get the 5th freedoms. I can't fathom how SFO can support 3x daily SFO-SIN, even with connections. More importantly, how will UA even get an extra gate on Boarding Area G during the 10:30-11:00 AM window when all 12 are already occup...
