Next, BA will upgauge AUS to A380. There's no A380 capable dual level gate at AUS. BA could add a frequency if the 747 isn't enough capacity. First off, I'm pretty sure he was joking. Secondly, there's no requirement that the gate have dual levels, but AUS doesn't even have a double-jetbridge gate....

On FR24 it looks like it went off the side near the end. The news footage also looks like its in the grass rather than EMAS.
EDIT: They're allowing departures on RWY13 as of 7:30 Eastern time.
