This is what 1/2 the country is tired of, people turning a seat assignment into a "complex problem". Most people have real "complex problems" like trying to make a living, raising good kids, caring for elderly parents, etc. Their time is too valuable to care about two dudes not ...Jump to post

Get out while the market is still hot. There is no way, IMO, that KEF and tourism in Iceland can maintain this constant growth.Jump to post
Honest question here, but why did JetBlue agree to the consent decree? After the FIS was shot down, couldn't B6 have just not agreed to the additional fines and forced the city's hand ?Jump to post

Also, TBIT isn't going to have the check-in counter space for all of these airlines that appear to be moving from T5 to MSC when it opens and AA takes over T5, so T1.5 includes some leaseable ticket counters in addition to the ones that WN has committed to.Jump to post
Except that, as of now, only Skyteam partners are scheduled to move to Daxing; OneWorld and and Star Alliance airlines will remain at Beijing Capital. Are you suggesting that AA will try to jump ship to Daxing - and leave its (admittedly limited) OW connecting partners behind? And has anyone sugges...Jump to post
Nothing yet. In fact, the new AA lease with LAWA isn't on the agenda for the LAWA Commissioner meeting on July 13 (there is a new lease w/ WN for space between T1 and T2, and the EIR approval for T2/3 modernization project on the agenda). I seem to recall that there was some lag in between the time ...Jump to post
I've been hearing this as well (AA copying DL? shocker!) but can't for the life of me figure out where Allegiant, Frontier, JetBlue, Hawaiian, Spirit, and Sun Country (the cats and dogs if you will) are going to go. That's nearly 70 daily departures - there's simply no room elsewhere. Midfield Sate...Jump to post
With the internet we also see how quickly any controversy can spread around the world and hurt companies. I do agree that companies have the right to pull sponsorship. There is a lot they can do and they actually are going to destroy the Eagle's nest and move all those operations to a T4/T5. AA will likely be the sole tenant of both, and yes, I would think this will involve semi-merging the terminals in a way. Can they do that without a T9 or T0, or would the pla...Jump to post
Until recently, capacity at LAX was an issue for Delta. Now that the terminals have been swapped, we shall see. I don't know if DL would consider LAX-SIN, especially when SQ is scheduled to re-start in 2018, and UA now on the route. Can the route support 3 airlines doing N/S LAX-SIN, or is DL bette...Jump to post

I am insanely exited for this as I am a big Delta Guy!! ~Zac as am I, however I made the mistake of booking a rt from LAX for next week. When I booked I went "I think I'll go non-stop" and gave no thought to the dates of my trip. So I have the email asking me to get to the airport 3 hours...Jump to post
Where will the Sky Club be in T3? Will the Delta One private check in area be ready day one? What has Delta done in T2 and T3 to prepare or will the work begin once they move in? LAWA has a press release out as well. Looks like a handful of airlines may move in April, prior to the major move week in May. Also appears to be some minor differences from what was discussed a couple of months back (not sure if this was already discussed). Specifically I see EI appears to be stay...Jump to post
Interesting that DL would have wanted the slots. Were they going to add service somewhere (SEA/LAS/MSP), or just go to 5x to SLC? They can easily get commuter slots and just run CRJ7's to SLC now, and use their 4 slots for something else. And how long is WN considered "new"? Is it one year...Jump to post
What I can't comprehend is that they are moving into the existing AC and VX locations "as-is" and not starting the renovations until late 2017/early 2018. For the time being the "SkyClub" is going to be the old lounge with a Delta sticker on the entrance. I appreciate that they ...Jump to post
What gates will Delta use at the TBIT? I think the plan was that they would use the 3-4 gates that are being reconfigured in the part of the old TBIT that remains tacked on to the north end of the terminal. But I'm pretty sure they'll have to share them with Y4, 4O, AV, and CM, who are all moving t...Jump to post

I've flown KE quite a bit and its to bad the business class product on the A380, to be quite frank, sucks. The seat has to be as uncomfortable as they come and the lack of air vents combined with very warm cabins makes for a very long flight. On the other hand, the business cabin on the 748 has to ...Jump to post

I am sitting here in the ABQ Sunport Observation deck and I am seeing, unless it is a desert mirage, a CS300 across the airfield. Wish I was close enough to get a picture, but it right in between the Cutter facility and the Eclipse hangar. Looks like it is about to leave.Jump to post
Simple walk. No checkpoints.
The flight usually leaves from D, so from A it is about a 15 minute walk if you use the moving sidewalks.
I have made it from D12 to B12 in under 12 minutes with a pit stop with only a brisk walk and the moving sidewalks. SLC is an easy connecting airport.
How would LGB allowing the 190 to operate under the cummuter slot pool jeopardize their slot pool? I think DL will add more Seattle - California routes. Will E175's work in LGB? On one forum they mentioned DL asking for LGB slots. When would they have asked for slots? Latest thing I found was this 12/30 News Release from LAWA.

What are these modernizations that are already happening?

Doesn't WN have access to a gate at T2 even with DL moving in for Intl arrivals? There is no secure CBP connector from T1 to T2 in the T1.5 plan (as so much as I read the EIR) - so I assume WN intl arrivals will come into T2 and be towed back to T1 - that frees up a gate need at T1? BTW: there is a...Jump to post
Assuming Terminal 0 is ever built I think WN would be very interested in funding and operating out of Terminal 0 which would more than make up for the few gates lost in the T1 modernization. I think you're seeing a lot of pre-emptive additions due to the AS/VX merger by both DL and B6. LAX flyers will be happy to have so many airlines looking to fill their airplanes! I think this is more likely due to some extra gate space at LAX for DL. April is right in the middle on the move to T2/3.Jump to post
