Just wait until it doesn't fly at all! Will there be an announcement then?

MCO-RSW and MCO-PNS? Curious to see how those turn out for F9
Jump to post9 hours for an empty NG makes sense. Might not even need aux tanks.
WN flew a 737-800 NG from HNL-DAL which is 7 hours during ETOPS certification, and I heard they landed with over 2 hrs of fuel left. And I think they had 25 people on board (FAA etc). Amazing what you can do eastbound
lol that is a nonrevs dream
Jump to postWhy doesn't WN just open the hiring pool to external applicants? We keep hearing this story of stations being understaffed yet it seems like they have no intention of resolving the issue. Im shocked theres no intention to post openings. There are and have been new external job postings on Southwest...
Jump to postOn short flights would a business traveler like the opportunity to have a complimentary upgrade to first class or even the option to buy first class? Do short flight business travelers not want extra legroom that the other airlines offer or the early boarding by not having to stand in a line? Lie f...
Jump to postDoes anyone know what the N500WR registration is referencing? They registered it that 7 years ago, so I assume they didn't have this 50th celebration in mind then and just chose this plane now because it has a 50 in it. But, who knows, maybe it was planned. Cute. No. It was planned for a repaint. I...
Jump to postPeople are thinking too much into HOU. It's just where WN has a brand new hangar and space to have an event. DAL is too busy.
Jump to postIs WN still the worlds largest MAX operator with 68 frames?
Jump to postWN will fly the fewest flights they have flown from MSP in a handful of years. Down to a whopping 15 weekday departures, well below pre-pandemic levels nearly double that figure. Ouch. Exit strategy? I do get that it's a short time period and can be quite slow, other than the holidays... According ...

They were supposed to start FRA-ANC this year but got delayed due to the USA remaining closed to Europeans...my friend was booked on it this August 2021

As of now 1x SMF-HNL and SMF-OGG showing on the MAX 8. Yeah, looks like the LGB MAX will be an 800. But on Friday KOA is expected to have interisland MAX flying.... Of course, as of now. Things are sure to change. What’s weird is I’ve noticed several 87xx MAX’s that have come to visit me in BNA hav...
Jump to postWho is still flying 737 CL in the USA? Alaska still have any 400s? Not Alaska, they retired them a few years back. iAero (formerly Swift Air) and Sierra Pacific come to mind as the only ones carrying people. iAero, Mesa, Kalitta Charters II, Aloha Cargo and Northern Air Cargo are all flying -300's ...

Jump to post[twoid][/twoid] We obviously not seeing adds for july? either way still lots new capacity Ya I see that also. Good mixture of NG and MAX Etops flying. I'm wondering if the grounding for Wiring issues might be playing into the situation? Flyguy The FAA has cleared the AD and Boeing can issue the fix...
Jump to postThings are going to get very interesting over the next several weeks. My eye is on the pineapple. Monday's 13:00 Herb/08:00 HST "Aloha"2021 battle plan update should have quite a few good announcements. Sounds like July will also see even more Pineapple adds. Strong rumor is that the New ...
Jump to postHow are there even going to be enough rental cars to support all of this traffic to leisure/outdoor destinations??? Typically American to immediately think about a rental car as the way to get to your final destination from the Airport, Europeans would first consider other means of transport before...
Jump to postI'm not sure if this indeed is entirely the case, but posting a profit because an airline got government support, to me isn't a profit. If that is the case, the term profit is misleading. Can it also be that WN posted this profit because their network is mainly focused on domestic flights while the...

1. WN has updated it's technology big time over the last few years.
2. I don't see an alliance but could see codeshare with intl partners to move pax around the country before/after longhaul. Pilots won't want to share any route WN can reach with it's A/C
Im sure WN will laugh at a.net as they fly tons of pax to Hawaii every day
Jump to postWell all the WN peeps we're hoping a big afternoon announcement was coming. Well its here...Drum roll ....WN is renaming of the HDQ building after Herb. In addition Herb and Colleen offices were turning into a museum inside HDQ. Cool nevertheless but A Hawaii expansion announcement would have been ...
Jump to postWhat does WN see in the -7 that the rest of the world misses? Especially among other LCC's, the -8 and its -200 variant seem to be far more popular. Likewise, former larger A319 operators like U2 are switching to the A320neo. As the (nearly) sole operator of the -7, doesn't WN worry about resale va...
Jump to postI doubt that WN would want to pop for a fifth FA. They could still go 192-198 with 32" pitch on the MAX 9 and still have only 4 FAs. I hear comments about the cost of adding one FA here on adotnet far more often than I do from any airline executives. I kind of think we overrate that. Well the ...
Jump to postI thought for the MAX 7, WN had 30 orders, which they reduced to 7. So I take it this new order is for 193. The previous reduction to 7 orders shows that they were seriously about to bail on the 7 at one point. It was always 30, 23 were just moved back a few years. GK always said they needed more 8...

Jump to postI definitely think more Hawaii makes sense this Summer. Once again Hawaii flights are killing it. Especially now that I am back in service!
Still LOLing at the Iceland comments
lol if Iceland actually happens i'll be the first to apologize for everything I've ever said about these "rumors". But i'd be the first customer. Iceland is incredible and the length from BWI is similar to Hawaii from CA. When would this happen if it did ? I have absolutely no clue. I did...

WN is not going to fold to AA.
I believe AUS-SMF isn't new, and they also ran AUS-SLC during the holidays
Awesome WN is adding more to Bozeman before it even launches and allll those new Florida adds.
I also saw PSP and ORD are adding LAS.
WN seems to be killing it with the Florida adds

Jump to postWill they just avoid rotating the plane through MDW? I recall some speculation in the past that they might have to do it that way if they are to buy the -10. Yes, they would most likely just avoid MDW. The MAX-10 would most likely be used initially on West Coast to Hawaii flights as well as flights...
Jump to postWait is this really news? AA has been running widebodies on many of these routes for years between intl flights. Or even some as turns.
Jump to postJust read the whole thread 1. The supply chain going from the CL to the NG to the MAX is way easier than a new type entirely. The latter would require thousands and thousands of more parts, resources, suppliers, and probably hundreds of millions of cash... 2. We already know the WN configuration of ...
Jump to postDoes southwest contract out above wing at smaller stations? Yes, and below wing as well. When the iam and twu agreed to this, it didnt seem like it was a big deal. It is now.
