RE: Horizon (QX) Expansion?'s

Errrrm, we've been flying the Q200 or similar 100 series aircraft since 1985. The 300 however...no need for it now, the Q400 is just as economical as the Q200 so why not fly it half full on an old Q200 route. That being said, reducing frequency would not empty the aircraft. We can reduce frequency b...

Forgive me if it's already been said as I don't have time to sift through 100+ posts right now but I'd be willing to bet this guy would be the first to be just as boisterous if he's sitting at the gate delayed because his flight crew hadn't shown up yet due to being stuck in the security line.

Regarding the A-6 incident, being an A-6 avionics guy I had to see this nearly every year on safety standown day. The guy got stuck between the bullet and the inside of the intake, the helmet didn't stall the engine, the pilot cut power when his instruments went batty on him.

Many have suspected the shorter runway, sounds logical enough in early speculation, CRJ 100 and 200 have no leading edge slats thus making the wing very critical.

To answer the above questions about the hook, many tactical military aircrat have an arresting hook of some sort. Not as strong as those that trap aboard a carrier, some a simply strong bungy type devices. But most planes have them.
