Anyone have a guess as to why the top of the plane burned so much? Looking at the photos, the sides of the fuselage look relatively unscathed, but then the top is almost completely burned out. Some speculated duty free booze in the overhead compartments.

Well, SHUPirate1, I remember flying Delta back in the 80s, and they had great customer service and the best flight attendants.
Jump to postI agree! Delta's customer service and flight attendant service are nowhere near as good as they use to be. Their on-time performance is lousy, in flight service in First Class is like what you used to get in coach. Coach is worse than the LCCs (terrible legroom, no food). I'm not impressed, Delta!
