It's that time of year in Hawaii. I've heard from staff flying in/out of Hawaii and within Hawaii reports of turbulence. We've had quite a few storms in the past week and scheduled for more in the coming weeks. That's our winter - heavy winds and rain.

Bermuda is a very unique, and beautiful, destination. It's not a matter of "how do we pay for all these rooms" - the goverment limits the amount of tourism on the island by limiting the number of hotel rooms that can be built. There are NO rental cars on the island. The movement of cruise ...

When they ordered, didn’t they say these were to replace the 744’s? I don't believe United ordered the A350s - those orders were placed by Continental - and United has just been moving them back. No, PMUA ordered the 25 A359s at the same time they ordered 25 787. After the merger Smisek converted t...

UA has A350s on order, have had them for a while, keep deferring the deliveries. At this point, I'm sure Airbus expects that order to be dropped, and I doubt they take this RFQ seriously... unless UA clearly says they are a real contender. Not sure how this could work. Everything in Bermuda is controlled - the number of hotels and hotel rooms, no car rentals, etc. How can an airline hope to build traffic in a market like that? Aa a connection hub? I don't see that either.

My 2cents - the biggest issue working against WN is lack of overnight flights. That's especially true here in Hawaii - you can't connect from a big portion of their system. Coming to Hawaii you need late afternoon flights off the west coast and WN doesn't have them - that cuts their connections from...
