This will be great news if this gets off the ground. Bit surprised at Lahore instead of Islamabad? The latter would make more sense as most of the people in the district with Pakistani origin hail from Mirpur which is much closer to ISB.

Has to be Jet 2. Very good service and cabin, excellent on time record and good prices...plus they fly from Leeds Bradford!

Easyjet are also good, but service wise don't compare with Jet2.

737heavy Leeds Bradford recently had a 20 odd percent monthly increase in passengers. Airlines are increasing and there certainly is demand even if increasing from modest numbers. Don't forget all London airports started off with low numbers initially! As for Finningley, what could the Government do...

BDRules I hope you are booked in the main resort and not Nabq Bay, I was there in April...what a cr*p hole! Be prepared to be crammed in the terminal on arrival and departure;best way to clear immigratin in a rush was to faint then get wheelchair service! LOL

LBA A rail spur will be good for many in the area, but travelling from my kneck of the woods rail is not an option...unless I go five miles the other way to Halifax. Signing to the airport will need to be improved on the roads. I think on the M62 there is one sign, if you miss it you are at the next...

The UK cannot afford to let a long runway go to waste and then build on green belt orfarm land elsewhere, the government would look riddiculous. I believe it was due to be announced Friday, but I haven't seen anything reported as yet.

In addition to LBA's comments, Leeds Bradford Airport has two new rotations to Verona this year to look forward to, as well as Transavia to Heraklion.

Don't think it was slot problems for EMA- just uneconomical, wrong kind of punters!!

I would think their would be higher yield into Leeds due to it being the second largest financial centre in the UK after London....don't think that applies to Nottingham, Derby or Leicester!!

On My last trip to FRA it coped really well with bad turbulence. however,given a choie of bmi and BA I would fly the fokker any day with bmi. Flown on their fokker 70 and 100 and they are lovely.
