I Need Some Help With My Scanner.

I have a Pro-76 that I got from Radio Shack. I listen to the aviation frequencies, approach, tower, etc. The think is I only hear one side of the transmission, usually the airplanes. Is there a frequency that ATC broadcast on, or is it that I am unable to listen to them. Thanks for your help, Sdntpi...

A good one that I have read is "The Black Box." It talks about 26 well known air disasters. The main point of the book is cockpit voice recorder accounts of in-flight accidents. It has the transmissions in the cockpit, cabin, and ATC. I really think its a great book, especially with the transmission...

Just a funny little thing.
I have a plate in my head and I put the antenna up to my head and I get perfectly clear reception. It's really funny.

Does anyone know of any good spotting places at Chicago's O'Hare that don't look to suspicious. I'm going there this weekend and thought I would go over to O'Hare for some pictures.

Thanks a lot, you helped me out a bunch, I realy appreciate it. One other quick question, does AirNav Suite 3.1 have the SelCal Decoder, the ACARS Decoder , and the flight tracking in one or do you have to buy it seperatly.

It was kinda a steep price for a ride, $45, but i think it was worth it i probablly would never get to do it again. The cabin was realy nice, all the seats were apolstered and they looked just like the pictures that I have seen of the inside.

NO i want a simulator that with like ATC but i dont want the TRACON. They should make a simulator where you see the airport and you can see the planes and they move when u tell them to.

I had been using FS2000 for a why'll and then when i stepped into my first small airplane i knew what everything was, all the instuments and stuff and what it did, so it does help but it whont make you a pilot.
