At a whopping 27 miles, is this segment (a tag-on) the shortest flight in the US? It seems like the shortest flight in the UA system.. but I might be wrong.

Nice report!

In this case VFR means Visiting Friends and Relatives, passengers who are generally low-yielding, who travel abroad to visit friends and relatives.
VFR also means Visual Flight Rules.. but that's not the point here :P

Amsterdam. It's famous for spotting. Lots of places to go, no fences (just ditches), you can get really close to the traffic. No doubt, I'd go to AMS and check out the city as well.

Doesn't Horizon have the best pay for the right seat though? I have to agree Republic belongs in the best list, or somewhere between best and average.
If you'd call Cape Air a regional, I'd def. place them in the best list, even though they're not 121 (except for those GUM ops)

idk, if we were on a 767 or 737 and we were rolling into position with no flaps, I'd get into the aisle and start screaming. I know that sounds frantic, but in the extremely unlikely event the pilots forgot, I'd rather risk arrest than risk petering out near the threshold.
