Journey control does not currently regulate award bookings (i.e. unlike revenue tickets skymiles tickets can be booked point to point), however it does make them harder to find the old fashioned way.

With the passengers on the Helios flight apparently freezing and the crew apparently incapacitated, I wonder if the autopilot could or should be programmed to descend to an altitude where people could breathe and not freeze to death.

So, would such a modification to autopilot technology be feasible

I wonder if RST sees the DC9 because no matter how good the Mayo clinic is, they still probably see a reltaively large amount of human remains cargo out of RST. IIRC coffins do not fit well on regional aircraft.
