I thought towing 747s carrying pax and fuel distances accross airfields put too much strain and stress on the airframe, and was frowned upon by Boeing when UA did the same thing for their ultra long flights with 747-400s...

Rd, just dont sit in the middle, two crew start from the front and the other from the rear. So sitting right at the front or at the rear will be a safe bet.

Try and get a seat close to the front, they have an extra 3" of legroom. On the Airbus, no need to worry about missing windows cause there arent any. On the Boeing its a different matter! Although you should be ok if you get a seat between doors 1 and 2 or between doors 3 and 4.
