Plus noise, the 10-30 is barely Stage 3, with most of Europe for example requiring a lot of margin between certificated noise levels and the aircraft, something the -30 simply doesn't have. Plus the -30 is just very expensive to operate.

I very much doubt FX and Boeing would buy and sell airplanes that would be "banned" in just 6 years. The aircraft are still operable in the post 2027 world, just no new ones can be certified or receive a CoA from the FAA. All aircraft in production post-2027 will have to meet the emission...

Congratulations to both FEDEX and Boeing. The 767 is a wonderful workhorse that is right sized for so many mission sets. It's a pretty airplane, about 20 ft longer than a 777F, but only 8-9000 lbs heavier in MTOW than a pure 777F. They dumped the Boeing/Jeppesen flight planning system that I think they've had since the beginning. I'm not sure when FlightKeys from Austria is slated to come on line. Granted, a flight planning system is not a line of aircraft, but, it shows that SWA can think of solutions other than Boeing.

My airline, an all-cargo carrier not subject to Part 117, up to 8 hours block time its a 2 pilot crew only. From 8+01 to 12+30 is 3 pilots, and from 12+31 to 16+00 its a 4 crew airplane. We currently dont have any contract provisions for flights scheduled beyond 16 hours of block time.

The NBC affiliate in DC broke into their nightly news last night to show the landing. When the aircraft turned off the runway the #1 was still running, although I couldn't tell if it was at idle thrust or what.

The landing looked absolutely normal.
