I've seen these for about £2.5 - 3K in the UK. A very good lens of it's time but quite old now and will be nearing the point at which Canon will stop providing service for it [7 years after production ceases]. That is the text for BadMotiv not BadAngle. We use badMotiv in this case for a picture which shows no apparent motive for taking it. In this case, the view in question isn't particularly interesting [it's just a window shot showing the wing] and there is nothing really exciting about the background....

As Mark says, just contact the picture desk at the newspaper, explain the situation and they should pay-up - you can usually push them to pay double the rate for the copyright violation.

Hmmm. Tail shots are difficult to get into the db these days. To get in they have to be well lit, well exposed, pin sharp and be offering something different - new or unusual graphics for example. Unfortunately the Icelandair shot was taken in nasty weather so it isn't very well lit [not your fault]...
