Re: Have we started liking Lufthansa's new livery?

I am used to it now, but not in a good way. It could be improved so much simply by painting the ring and crane on the tail yellow. With a livery so bland, even a small pop of color like that goes a long way!

I think the globe represents United more than the tulip, since they're a global airline with an expanding international network. That's why the globe is being added to new Polaris cabins and other branding. What is a tulip supposed to represent? The "tulip" design is not actually a tulip....

I'm happy that United is finally updating its livery after nearly nine years of continuing the 1991 Continental livery but with the United name. I initially thought they were also going to introduce a new logo from scratch, like American and Southwest did respectively in 2013 and 2014. The Continen...

Of course. Because United does not operate 170 A320 Family (+34 A319's on order as second-hand) nor does it have 45 A350-900's on order... The A350 was ordered before the merger. The A319 were acquired USED since they got them dirt cheap and could quickly replace 50 seat regional jets. United has h...

Soviet cockpits (and the DC-9 as mentioned) are turquoise probably for the same reason that Boeing 747 through 777 cockpits are brown and Airbus cockpits are grey...those colors were simply appealing at the time when the aircraft were designed and manufactured.
