From what I’ve heard on here, it’s a 3 day trip. Mainland to Hawaii on day 1, inter island flights on day 2 and Hawaii to mainland on day 3.

Mid May SAN-MDW for $39 one way. Jumped on that and moved it to mid July.

Jump to postAnyone know the reason Gate 2 is closed? I’ve noticed baggage carts and tugs parked over the empty space. Been like that since I parked at gate 1 on 6/23 and also 7/7.
Jump to postI was scheduled to fly on WN March 14 OAK-STL. Sadly, they were grounded on the 13th so I missed out. I told the flight crew I had booked that flight to get to ride on one. They gave me a free drink to help ease my av geek pain.

I see tickets Sunday, March 17th. Though that first flight already says sold out
Regarding the gates at the east end of T1, that whole tarmac area is very crowded and space-constrained. I really don't think the airport would be able to put more than one airline there. IMO, there is really room for 1 highly-usable gate but gate 2, as Silver' emphasized, can't really be used when ...

Any idea how long it's been there? Isn't that where WN parks RON overflow?

Jump to postI guess I just assumed the Dodgers were playing at home and not flying in from somewhere else.
Jump to postI thought I saw 3 plus a Delta 757. Didn't think that was MLB related. Padres have been home and I think the Dodgers ride the bus down from LA (they play each other tomorrow). Jump to postJust flew out of SAN. Saw a couple United birds on the north ramp. Are those planes that should have been flying to IAH over the last couple days but are stranded for lack of a better word?
Jump to postSan Diego. But in the current San Diego Happening threads, it sounds like there are plans for a parallel taxiway.
Jump to postI think they taxi on the north side of the field due to the distance between the runway and old buildings (that were torn down recently). I guess the wing distance is too great.
