There is a new Tesla service where you can do a one way rental from LA down to SD (Mission Valley/Hotel Circle) Area. I think rates start at $49 and go up to $99

Anyone know the reason Gate 2 is closed? I’ve noticed baggage carts and tugs parked over the empty space. Been like that since I parked at gate 1 on 6/23 and also 7/7.

I was scheduled to fly on WN March 14 OAK-STL. Sadly, they were grounded on the 13th so I missed out. I told the flight crew I had booked that flight to get to ride on one. They gave me a free drink to help ease my av geek pain.

Regarding the gates at the east end of T1, that whole tarmac area is very crowded and space-constrained. I really don't think the airport would be able to put more than one airline there. IMO, there is really room for 1 highly-usable gate but gate 2, as Silver' emphasized, can't really be used when ...

I flew out of OAK on Saturday 9/9. Took off from 28L and had to wait about 15 mins on the ground waiting on 2 arrivals to runway to 28L. They must have shut down 30 at about 8pm local Saturday night.

I think they taxi on the north side of the field due to the distance between the runway and old buildings (that were torn down recently). I guess the wing distance is too great.

Just heard on the news a A320 plane circled for an hour over Northern San Diego between 9pm and 10pm local time with some type of flap issue. Looking for info on news sites. Just saw it on the 11pm news on NBC 7. Looked to be a USAirways plane. Will look for links to post more info.

To go from SFO to Pier 39/Fishermans Wharf, take BART to Powell St. Then you can hop a cable car or the streetcar F line to there. If you have luggage and wanna go to the wharf, hop in a taxi. Will be easier.
