Anyone know what happened at EWR today? I heard about an incident with an OS plane, and that flight was cancelled, but I don't even know what type of plane UA had involved. Wing struck OS? or the other way around? Aircraft 0236 was being pushed back from gate B56 when the left winglet struck the Au...Jump to post
A320 Any info on the two ex-CZ N4901U & N1902U? They’ve been at LCQ for six and four months now. Waiting on STCs perhaps? N4901U is in heavy maintenance. Currently, they are installing the landing gears. It is scheduled to have a test flight on May 22. N4902U is in storage. They won't start hea...Jump to post
2786 is on the ground for 2 reasons. First, the FDA is inspecting the cabin and galley. The FDA found several items that need to get fixed. Once those items are fixed, the FDA will issue a health certificate for that airplane. A valid health certificate must be displayed in the cabin at all time (I ...Jump to post
I don't see a livery change till 2020. 2020 is when all the workgroups are suppose to get their new uniforms.Jump to post
There are very few spare aircraft around the United system. At this exact moment in time, there are 9 spares. Another observation I am making is that UA is clever for putting three spares each at SFO and EWR, since former is prone to flow-control and the latter is prone to delays in general. It see...Jump to post

Wouldn't that A320 with the -232 code be a Delta bird? Just kidding of course...
My wildly early (but in good fun) assessment is that there was an un-contained blade(s) failure which, when it exited the cowling, it caused enough of the cowling to twist into the airstream. Subsequently, this caused the cowling to further get pulled into the airstream until the entire cowling cam...Jump to post

IAD and not SEA... interesting change. Didn’t think IAD would be equipped for introduction work.
752: N597UA entered SAT 2824/13Nov, unknow work Regarding the SAT work, it appears ST Aerospace/VT San Antonio Aerospace Inc. is doing work that is unconfirmed as to the extent. All on sCO and sUA 752s and the 753. Scimitars or regular checks? There are currently 3 aircrafts in San Antonio: 0141 - ...Jump to post

N121UA, ICN_SFO, 10/29
There is no further routing information for these two airplanes. I suspect one will be the primary aircraft for the SFO-HNL flight while the other will act as the backup in case the primary takes a sh*t at the gate.
747-400 N121UA had its "United" title covered over. In its place, a large decal with the words "United 747 Friend Ship" and four blue stars (70's livery). N119UA will receive the same decal. The plane looks really weird because it still has the globe on the tail, white and grey p...Jump to post
