9V-SMT suffered a tailstrike in AKL in 2001/2002, during its takeoff roll. Apparently the wrong data was entered into the FMC, causing an early rotation and thus tailstrike.

What I'd do would be to remove my shoes, leaving socks on and putting on the sockettes provided by the airline. Far more comfortable as it keeps your feet warm too!
