LH overflying Iraq, whose airspace saw a lot of hostile action, but avoiding even rather safe Western Iran is the kind of politics driven decision I was earlier talking about.
If you are going non-Schengen to non-Schengen from the US in AMS, you do not need to go through security again in my experience. If you are going non-Schengen to Schengen area, you will have to pass through security. I can second that, for AMS. Though I think this thread belongs to Travel, Polls fo...
Jump to postA very close shave for an IndiGo flight from Ayodhya to Delhi which diverted to Chandigarh eventually: The pilot announced that they had 45 mins of holding fuel but it took 115 mins to divert and touch down at Chandigarh. Jump to postThis reminds me of the time a plane made an emergency landing in Iran due to mechanical issues and it was really tough to get it out of there, even on a ferry, due to the sanctions. Jump to postAt it's core, Adani is driven by money to build this park. Most of the $19 billion ticket investments will go to their group companies. Those flights operate in close partnership with TK. They are timed to take advantage of TK connections at IST. Jump to postThanks. Interesting location. Where will all the energy be consumed? Most likely it will feed to the main Indian grid.
