Suspicious? shheeesssshhhhh.

He probably metered off the airplane itself, giving it a more accurate exposure. The light also reflects off the snow/ice, working as a bounce to the underside of the aircraft. Nice composition and effective use of available light.

The "AF1" 747's have that door as a special modification. There are internal stairs to bring you to this point. They also use the "regular" door with air stairs. This was put in for when they go into airports that may not have 747 capable air stairs.

You just need a convertor plug. I bought a set here in the US that fits pretty much everything in the world. Just plug your charger into the plug, the plug into your home socket and you are good to go. If you are coming in January keep an eye on other cameras as well....With the intro of the 20D oth...

The 737 itself is just a tad blurred compared to the towers. It is also slightly off level. If the a/c in fact is not well focused you are out of luck.

I would crop it much tighter around the a/c.

Feel how "sloppy" the lens feels. There should be some play but not too much. Does the barrel of the lens move smoothinly back and forth? is there shake/shimmy to the lens? Check the filter threads on the front. Stripped or bent can mean the lens was dropped and banged about. Look at the silver part...

The lens is well sealed so I doubt you get dust etc inside the camera itself from the lens. That will all come from changing lenses, especially in a dusty environment.

I have shot with mine at the beach, river, airport, in flight, no problems.

Push pull is interesting to get used to, but you will since you will use this lens most of the time. If you go somewhere dusty keep an eye out for buildup of grit on the lens barrel. Canon won't honor a grey market warranty, but a reputable seller like <acronym title="easyJet Switzerland">BH</acronym> makes up for that with their own warranty. My 100-400 was purchased from them as a grey market lens. Thankfully in the almost 2 years I have had the lens I have had no problems. Tony

In response to a question above about how they appear...Yes, they usually appear as a spot, almost translucent. However you might get a fiber or hair in there that will look like a squigly line.

While the fighter is certainly capable of shooting at the "intruder" with missiles the idea is that they actually get up and take a look at what is going on. Don't forget that the closure speed was pretty high. You were doing something like 300 MPH, he was doing likewise coming at you for a combined speed of 600+mph.  Smile

I found the hood to be more of a pain than it is worth. If you shoot the on camera flash take the hood off as it is so large it casts a shadow with the flash...(Or use a Speedlight flash on the hotshoe...)
