If I remember correctly, the 777's coach seats are an inch wider than those currently used on most other Boeing jets including the 747. Unless you fly on Emirates, where they squeeze 10 in a row instead of the usual 9. Also, the nice thing about PTV's is, if you're not interested in any of the movie...

Looks to me like the picture was taken using flash, which I would not recommend if you don't want to get people's attention. Use a faster film and available light and you'll have a better chance of not being noticed in the future.

I would think it doesn't really matter because only one person can fit in there at a time anyway. If planes got big enough that they decided to put in larger bathrooms with room for more than one person, then it would start making more sense to have them be men or women only.
