Re: DAB in talks with Sunwing for YYZ-DAB Flights

I wouldn't say less popular. Everyone knows about Daytona Beach, but I think they attract a lot of tourism by car rather by plane. Even those from Canada seem to drive down there. I've seen tons of Canadian License plates, but usually from Quebec, not Ontario. Daytona also gets a fair amount of sou...

Re: DAB in talks with Sunwing for YYZ-DAB Flights

DAB has always been a very 'interesting' leisure destination. It seems to be one of the less-popular beaches in Florida, particularly on the Atlantic. With greater Melbourne and Vero Beach a couple of hours away, I believe people might rather go down to those beaches instead. I wouldn't say less po...

Other thing to consider is that DAB isn't guaranteed to be "nice" in the middle of winter either. With average January high temps under 70 degrees it isn't exactly that tropical getaway type of place, but obviously 68 degrees beats the 18 degrees it would be in YYZ. DAB definitely has som...

DAB in talks with Sunwing for YYZ-DAB Flights

I remember when AC announced YYZ-DAB on weekends only to quietly rescind the announcement merely months later. I guess DAB is up and coming, and assuming no one has to...

I'm guessing ATL-JFK may see a 737-700 to reposition the aircraft for JFK-SNA? That's a lot of flight time for only having 10 in the fleet though. I wonder how this may affect TGU/EYW/MEX flights? Will WN add CVG-MCO nonstop service? There were some Cincinnati-area customers who flew to MCO on WN or FL out of DAY, IND, CMH, or SDF prior to WN's entry into CVG last year. In addition, there is more O&D demand to MCO from some of the markets smaller than CVG that already have nonstop servic...
