if DL had a "focus city" at AUS, couldn't SkyWest or someone else start AUS to ELP, AMA, LBB, MAF, LRD, MFE, CRP, HOU, and DAL?

It was also a pleasant surprise to land from the west and get to taxi past a full int'l terminal, especially being on an ER4 and having to wrap around back to B! AF is back to a 332, a handful of 77Ws, and my first Kiwi 789! If the SQ 350 was there it would've made everything complete!

LH downgauged to the 748 for the winter/holidays. And IIRC UA uses the 77W on one of the LHR flights as well as hub to hub. UA ferried the B77W to IAH and it then operated IAH-NRT-SFO. I was coming back from XNA yesterday for the holidays and saw two active 773 for UA and the 748 for LH which I'm assuming was just a sub for the A380. But I thought UA's 773 were strictly EWR and SFO? It was a pleasant surprise to say the least!!

It might be a dead issue, but this is an interesting thought experiment. Had it been developed into a full fledged commercial airport, we might have had a credible alternative to LAX that was not weight restricted, located close enough that it could have been a serious alternative.
