ok so you say you would need 4 a/c in order to double the refuelings... Good then think about that like this : if an a/c flies 1/4 earth trip and has to be able to come back home, it needs another 1/4 for this return flight so.. 1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4 = 1/2 so it can't give fuel away at 1/4 trip mark... let's put it simplier : in your statment team helper flies 1/4 of the trip and flies back another 1/4 to rejoin base so it needs 1/2 trip fuel = one full tank, so he can't give fuel away
