Re: IAD Runway OPS

I was wondering about Dulles runway configurations. I have seen Landings on 1C 1R and departure on 1C and 30. I have never really seen landings on 30 and use of 19R/1L Any configurations I’m missing? http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1801/05100ad.pdf#nameddest=(IAD) If IAD landed on 30, it would limit t...

What is next for Allegiant

Haven't heard much discussion about G4 so I started this topic.

At the end of 2017 they added a few new east coast routes.

Scrapped. They are all 737 classic series aircraft. Southwest removed them all for service when they received their first 737 MAX.

No! 797 is the supposed middle of market. 200-280 seats

Re: Aircraft lighting questions.

Those newer 737 NG have kind of a hodge podge of lighting. The new wing root lights are all LED and replace the nose taxi light as well. The ones with LED wingtip strobes still have a conventional tail strobe. It's the MAX that has the 787 tail strobes that double as the rear nav light, in addition...

Aircraft lighting questions.

So ive been keeping track of aircraft lighting. You will see multiple questions here haha. I have noticed on the ZW CRJ's ive seen lately and a few EV the have very bright 787esque tail strobes. On aircraft departing on climbout. It appears they are shutting the wing light off immediately after depa...

What are the differences in flap Size/Slots It seems flaps get smaller over time? Basically flap questions.

So I know the flaps increase lift by increasing area/Chord of wing. But why are they getting smaller and less angled down. Specifically talking about difference between 747 and 767 flaps. And the 787 tiny flaps. Just would like to know more about flaps! BONUS: How do the 747 Krueger flaps extend the...

Why is the departure runway usually shorter than the arrival runway in multi runway airports?

At jfk and ATL the arrival runway is both shorter than the departure runway. 31L and 31R at jfk and 9L and 9R at ATL

Re: What’s next for ORF, RIC, PHF

I've wondered if we might see some combination of G4/F9/NK on RIC/ORF-MSY. Both routes are unserved and 60-70 PDEW and growing with relatively high fares. NK and F9 could do one stops or connections to the west to help fill seats. I could most definitely see NKS taking orf to MSY or DFW in the near...

I always have liked rjs and the DC9 family and wondered about the future of the design. I know about the flutter and deep stall possibilities.

I’d really like to see some international service. Possibly NAX on MAX8 or WOW air. Iceland and Ireland.

Re: What’s next for ORF, RIC, PHF

As Alaska continues to growth out East, maybe one of these cities will get service to SEA, SFO or LAX. ...or SAN... For example, ORF-SAN is perhaps the largest unserved market out of both cities. Someone will jump on it eventually and I'd love it to be AAG! bb Yes ORF-SAN is a large navy route. I c...

Re: What’s next for ORF, RIC, PHF

I wouldn't be surprised if DL started RIC-SLC once the new terminal at SLC opens. RIC is an elite-heavy station with lots of 757s to ATL. I think the demand could be there with an A319. I could most definitely see that coming. I also could See ORF-DEN added on UA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: How the Boeing jet no one wanted became the plane airlines scour the planet for

Personally, I hate them and actively avoid flying them. The 2-3 seating is nice, but if you're near the back, they're loud. Also, overhead storage for carry-ons (at least on AA) is smaller than competing A320 series and the 737 series aircraft, which can prove difficult to find space on a full flig...

737 Scimitar Vs 737 MAX Split tip.

What are the differences between the two? I assume the retrofit was to become as close to the max winglet as possible? Also Why does the retrofit have a Raked tip and the max winglet being flat.
