I’d like to see EI start service at Manchester. Unrealistic IMO, Manchester is way too small. Not with flights to DUB from BOS, PVD, and BDL. Additionally, there is no CBP, so that would need to be built, and all their 757s are in service and there is no way they would send an A330, way too much ca...Jump to post
I wonder if an airline will bring back (seasonally) BOS-DUS. The one time I used it the plane was packed (anecdotal evidence of course). Especially for people traveling to the eastern part of Holland (me included), DUS is as convenient as AMS. Just a simple hop on the ICE and you're in Holland with...Jump to post
It seems like this was the design of a company who wanted to do the terminal E expansion.
I really like their design actually.
Several questions. Does SK realistically have a good chance of really growing that market to make it profitable for them, because I imagine with such low LFs it can't be profitable? I've wondered if that market is large enough since it's launch on mainline. My neighbor flew on BOS-CPH and said the f...Jump to post
They could all be B6, which would really help them in the goal to get to 200 departures a day, given it looks like TP and EI aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I understand why EI wouldn't like to move to Terminal E, they would like to be with a major partner and they have preclearance so they don...Jump to post
YHZ needs a good gateway to Europe, LHR doesnt have much beyond ability to connect for Air Canada passengers. YOW also would be good. With a niche plane, Id fly niche markets that have the potential for good yields and a capture a disproportionate amount of international traffic. That is more likel...Jump to post
Would MHT even stand a chance of getting something like this? Doubtful, PVD is much more likely. MHT had almost 2 million less passengers than PVD, and the area around PVD is much more affluent than MHT. Additionally, PVD has transatlantic flights already unlike MHT, and the success of PVD-DUB on N...Jump to post
I have been hearing a little about some unknown (to me, anyway) Chinese airline planning to fly to Boston starting this May using A350s presumably. Is this a real thing? Sichuan airlines had reported BOS as one of their new destinations with the A350, it's a little tight, but as adam pointed out in...Jump to post

Look for a flight that doesn't hit your destination airport at the peak European arrivals bank. For most airports not on the West Coast, the peak hours are 12:30-2:30 pm. For example, BA has a late flight into IAH that arrives around 17:30, and with ESTA you should clear immigration in about 15 min...Jump to post

LAX and NYC? Weren't those mentioned a while back as the routes? Yes, though they still haven't clarified which NYC gateway they'll use. I'd imagine they will bring it to EWR because I don't think 1 A350ULR daily would be enough traffic, and also a lot of people don't want such a long flight with n...Jump to post
It appears that AF is sticking with the 787-9 well into June, and I’m not clear that it is paired with a second daily during this time. To me it says that they are hemorrhaging traffic to others, to the surprise of no one. Its only a difference of 20 seats with the 789 and the J heavy 77W... so I w...Jump to post

Interesting, in the Sichuan Airlines ordering A350 thread, it says one of the destinations they are considering adding is Boston.
Sichuan Airlines has placed a $3.2 billion order for 10 Airbus A350-900XWB to supplement the 4 leased A359s, including the panda special livery. The airline is also planning on launching 4 long-haul routes in 2018. Planned destinations include Cairo, Tel Aviv, Copenhagen, and Boston. Source: http:/...Jump to post
BOS hello! *A needs an Asian route from BOS and ICN is the most obvious hole from BOS. Although I do agree that ICN is a huge hole for BOS I think KE will be the airline that will launch service. Oneworld dominates the BOS-Asia market and neither Skyteam or *A have BOS-Asia flights, but KE (...Jump to post
You all forget that KE once served BOS-ICN and dropped it. I think they would be a little gunshy to come back. I know KE served BOS before, but that was under completely different circumstances back then were completely different. KE had to utilize a large, inefficient 747, the flight was also a on...Jump to post

CBP hasn't really expanded much. Better waiting space but that's about it. TSA is the same. New checkpoint by the terminal C connector, but that's about it. As it is, that connector TSA checkpoint is the best kept secret in the terminal. Haven't ever seen more than a 5-10 minute wait there I guess ...Jump to post
I recently noticed that I haven't seen Alitalia flying to Boston recently, I couldn't find their flights on their site and on Flightaware. Has the flight not been operating recently and why or have I just been looking in the wrong places? Alitalia traditionally takes a winter break, usually from ea...Jump to post
I think they could do it just on a much, much smaller scale than Icelandair maybe utilizing some C-Series and 737Max they could add a few flights to each side of the Atlantic. But realistically I don't see it happening, this would require a fairly large investment which will be hard to do, there is ...Jump to post
Can the A321NEO do ATL-OGG? DL could resume that. They flew it with a 767-300ER at one time. I'm pretty sure that is far out of range even of an A321LR. At 3,850nm it should be well within the range of the A321LR, especially as DL would not have it as a full Y at capacity. My bad, then I guess the ...Jump to post

Would it be crazy for DL to add a bunch of small European cities from a place like BOS with the A320neo and take a page out of UA's book? DL doesn't have a huge presence outside of the larger European cities currently. They could push alot of connecting traffic thru the hub to the smaller European ...Jump to post
On what routes/operations might Delta deploy their new A321neo upon delivery in 2020? Could we see any long and thin transatlantic routes, like with 757-200 ETOPS (75S configuration for Delta), or will they most likely be flying domestic routes alongside the A321ceo? Also, what cabin configuration ...Jump to post
With all the growth over the last couple of years, is anything being done to alleviate the TSA bottleneck at Terminal E? What cities will realistically get DY A321LR service? Could we see LGW added from mid-sized markets? I believe their idea is to add a few LGW-mid-size markets, and I think a key part of their A321LR usage will be from smaller European cities(Budapest, Gothenburg, Stockholm, etc.) to larger U.S dest...Jump to post
I’m 50/50 on if Primera has sustainability in Boston. They already pulled the plug on BOS-BHX. Norwegian and Wow provide ‘ulcc’ service into London. Wow of course requires a KEF stop, but they will soon have service into LTN and LGW. One of the 3 will likely give, and I don’t see it being Wow or No...Jump to post
I expect any VS growth at MAN to be to existing VS destinations or DL hubs such as DTW that was rumoured and got as far as appearing on the VS route map, but removed and never went on sale. TPA would be nice, but VS don't serve there at the moment and can't see it being a standalone route from MAN,...Jump to post
When will KE be receiving the rest of their 787s?Jump to post
Although I do think El Al could add a few of those routes, I think it should be a higher priority to expand their services in the cities they fly to, some cities should see higher frequencies and/or improved aircrafts. Also, a lot of those routes will be more expensive because they can't fly over a ...Jump to post

Any rumors of any new airline starting service at BOS in 2018. Still hoping to see either KE fly ICN-BOS-ICN or CI/BR fly TPE-BOS-TPE. I think KE is the most likely to commence service from BOS. ANC/MCI/STL/CLE/CVG/PIT-KEF were probably next to nothing, but they all still got flights. WW and FI are unique because they can lower fares and create demand where there was none.
