Both New York and Atlanta have very large business minded African American populations. Delta also partners with Kenya Airways. Understandable, but UA holds the largest percentage of pax from NYC so why couldn't they add profitable flights to Africa from NY and IAH-LOS was a very business oriented ...

Although, one thing we know about EK is their willingness to turn on a dime, making aircraft changes weeks out when the rest of the world makes them months out. Only anecdotal, but these are the 777-300ER's that QR uses to Montreal: A7-BEF, BAL, BAS, BAT, BAV, BAW, BAX, BAY, BAZ. All are 412-seat planes except for BEF, which is a 358-seat version. Very, they are using the aircraft to cover for carriers affected by the issue. Look at Norwegian, using an A380 to replace their 787 service, because of the engine issues.

I know I'm partial towards BOS, but I could see BOS getting service from AT. AT has a codeshare with B6, so B6 could funnel pax through BOS onto AT. Additionally, they could offer connections into Africa and S. Europe from BOS.
