Who knows about a new livery, but UA has repainted 35 aircraft already this year understanding usually more will be repainted after Labor Day. There were roughly 80 repainted in 2017. Now that the narrowbodies are through with mods, another paint program? Would the wave stay? Three Blues plus anoth...

Any updates on the Polaris retrofits? There are tons of posts upthread regarding Polaris updates. It's a long, ongoing discussion. Also, here's a meticulously maintained website that give pretty much everything about the entire fleet.....including Polaris. https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleets...

Alaska has already announced it is shifting to 739s on transcons. Alaska could learn a thing or two from United which in years past attempted to fly 739ERs on transcend routes from the Northeast and New England. During the summer time it wasn't a problem however during the winter UA was forced to l...

797s. But before that 321s seem destined to take over most transcon with Delta, American, Jetblue, Spirit, HA, AS. Definitely on the small site. But it's availability, low CASM and flexibility compensate a lot. Alaska has already announced it is shifting to 739s on transcons. If Delta doesn't confi...

Isn't it impossible to tell an sUA A319 apart from an sCZ A319 solely from the inside? You can tell the difference from the lav/galley configuration in back. exCZ aircraft have two lavs forward of the #2 doors and a full width galley in the back. UA aircraft have one lav and half a galley forward o...

It makes me nuts too. I want to make a mock Polaris ad of a business man in a suit in a jet bridge after deplaning with really bad bed head hair: Polaris, $7,400 from EWR, but no more comb in the amity kit” I think if I knew that the A350’s where arriving Jan 1st 2020, I’d be more understanding- bu...

Re: 3U, CA take delivery of maiden A350 today on Aug 8, debuting A350 service on domestic popular routes before going in

Taiwan's case allows them to have 90,000 planes registered, not 100,000 as the 4-digits one are not for them :duck: I believe now the general aviation range is currently two numbers + two alphabets, e.g. B-10AB and the airliner range is three numbers + one alphabet (i.e. B-301D in this case). Re: 3U, CA take delivery of maiden A350 today on Aug 8, debuting A350 service on domestic popular routes before going in

They started randomly assigning digits (I believe starting with B-300/301 followed by A-Z) since earlier this year for Part 121 airliners; probably half year earlier for general aviation. They ran out of numbers to allocate (sans B-4xxx as this is reserved for military) and hence the change. Michae...

Why does the Sichuan Airlines A350 have the registration B-301D? Don't Chinese registrations follow the format of B followed by a 4-digit number? Not sure what this has to do with this thread. They also have a superior product, which is to be expected! Obviously despite the fact that they don't cost cut as much on the product front compared to UA or AA, they still manage to carry more passengers and command a revenue premium! Bravo to Delta!

I think I am right in saying that JFK gets the recently refurbished very high J 747s that only seat 275 passengers - 100 of whom are in F and J. So they should be the last of the BA 747s flying which gives BA some time to plan an appropriately high premium configured replacement. With new B787-10/A...
