This is why I tune the localiser where available, even when flying a visual approach. Many operators require it.

It's not nannying, or a fear of flying the aircraft. It is situational awareness.

Yes, BA 744 and 388 have an absolutely horrible business class configuration. There's not one single seat on those that I would actually like to have, they all suck. All window-seats are facing backwards only, and apart from that every seat is crammed and uncomfortable for sleeping. And really, 2-4...

The mistake people make is always assuming Ryanair are cheapest. They often are, but I often find BA cheaper on HBO fares when I factor in onward transit at both ends. This charge will probably make that more likely, though still less than half the time.

The wise person shops around.

BA similar. Often cheaper to fly from MAN with a LHR connection than it is direct from LHR.

For J fares TATL it can be cheaper to fly Easyjet to AMS, stay overnight and fly BA back to LHR and on to the US than it is to just book from LHR.
