Slightly off topic but I heard on CNN today that a Longtail Aviation 747 also had an engine failure after takeoff today somewhere over the Netherlands. I couldn't see a thread for this.

Re: United Tries to Seat 2-,4-,6-Year Old Children Separate from Parents

Easier than pie . Seat the 2 yr old in the seat and walk away... crying will commence and a seat will become available. I have used this tactic. It works. If the baby was next to me, I would trade seats immediately for 2 reasons: 1) Crying baby 2) I am *NOT* touching the baby to try to calm it down...

I think the big issue with the SJC traffic is that your average south bay resident has no idea that they can now get to Asia and Europe from there. Not sure how much marketing they do, but I'd wager that they've got a ways to go in promoting the service. Many people I know of Indian origin have no ...

I noted British Airways cancelled their daily BA279 service to San Jose,CA this past Monday, April 30th and today's service on Wednesday, May 2nd was also cancelled. The area to the north, Simpson, Harlington and Cranford Park have huge open areas that could potentially serve as expansion areas for the airport.
There would be a lot of arguments and red tape to overcome but these all could be looked at. Am I wrong or right ?

Didn't some Southwest flight attendant slip a Xanax pill into some kids orange juice a few years back ? The kid had been screaming constantly so the FA decided to take matters into his own hands and put the pill in the drink.

I'm not sure what the outcome of that was.
