Re: F1 - 2021 Season

Wow, what a race and what a controversial end :o The first lap did stump me a little, whilst Max did dive, he made the corner ok, whilst Hamilton sort of left the door open for him. So I can understand Red Bull anger around that. However that ending leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, Masi genuinely...

Really looking forward to seeing how the different tyre strategies work out with the Red Bulls on the softs and Mercedes on the mediums. I don’t see the word “testing”

Car 33 breaking erratically with a 2.4g force when already driving at a slow speed, that's pretty much a break test whatever way you dice it. I know you will refuse to see it but hey ho :spin:

They're also upsizing 10 320NEOs to standard 321NEOs. The 321 has definitely been the star of PAS19. I agree wholeheartedly. Reduce airspeed... By reducing the airspeed, wouldn't they also lose altitude which isn't ideal at 5000 ft in a mountainous area? Regarding the manual trim, when they tried to adjust manually in the over speed situation, would the manual trim wheel even rotate? Or will it rotate but have zero effect?

Can somebody correct me if any of this is wrong... From following things so far, after the initial MCAS activation the pilots were able to hit the cut off switches as per the checklist and were able to get the aircraft to a roughly level flight at 5000 ft above the ground. However at this point, the...

Hard to beat a dependable Airbus Quad when it comes for filling in for unreliable 787s. It sure does. Even though it has nothing to do with the 787’s reliablility... RR can’t sedm to get their act together. And the A346s uses Trents...and it may be more reliable engine than the 1000 but still not a...

I couldn't agree more. The A350-800 had 182 orders in the middle of 2008. The A358 got officially cancelled in September 2014. Airlines had to swap their order to either A359 or A330. I do not consider them new orders as most of them were placed in 2008. They do not represent current demand on that...

A fantastic achievement for Boeing. Both the 747 and 777 achieved amazing sales and both should be celebrated by all aviation fans alike. The 747 was the Queen of the skies for years and revolutionised air travel as we known it and is probably one of the most recognisable planes in the public eye. A...

Highly likely a Lufthansa A330 IMHO. The white winglets rules out it being a Turkish Airlines A330. I think most (if not all) of that repair was actually paid for by Rolls Royce; not only was it their engine that malfunctioned (and their manufacturing flaw), but IIRC that was a time-on-wing leased engine as well.
