Does anyone know why they use the 747 instead of something more efficient? A couple of months ago we had to level at 5000ft so that they could fly over at 6000 ft, quite the site!

In canada if you go looking for a job with 100 multi vs 25 multi its not gonna make a difference you need quite a bit more then that to skip the ramp or instructing. So unless you can gather 500+ multi then save your money its not gonna make a difference.

I have the DC noise cancelling headset as well. I've tried using it in the Caravan and turbo otter and it is unbelievable the difference noise cancelling makes. It wont make much of a difference while training but later on in your career it might. As for 2000 hours on a headset thats not impressive ...

You can run diesel engines on Jet A so that wouldn't make a difference, bottom line is that costs savings arent enough to make it efficient or I'm sure low cost airlines would have done it years ago. Also as stated engines need to be warmed up.

There is nothing wrong with rocking out just because you became big in the 80's. I think his project should have a different name since it really isnt Guns and Roses. It will be successfull though. One of those dates was supposed to be a double date with Motley Crue but they backed out.

Right but to be retiring and making a 100k a year is more then a lot of people will make at the time they retire. Even if they never make it to the majors they will still be high up on the food chain making more then a lot of people make.

It's already been established that regional crew make very little money, but in the end they will probably be making 100k for all the crap they had to put up with. Like I said earlier its a hard road but it sure as hell pays off.
